Before Phenom was a tabletop role-playing game, it was a story. Before it was a story, it was an idea. The story itself has been dancing around in my mind for decades. I have a couple of short stories I’ve written and a novel that I’ve been kicking around forever. The world of Telan, the stories I have for it, and the game of Phenom have some different entry points, so let’s chart out the evolution of an idea.
Over on my Patreon, I map out how Phenom went from a simple story I wrote as a teenager because of something my friend shared with me to the game that I’ve designed and am preparing to release. I talk about,
- The Friend
- The Theory
- Changes in Me
- A Dragon and a Missile Launcher
- The SRD Fiasco
- The Game Now
If you’d like to see what’s behind the story, consider becoming a Patron. Patrons get early access to articles and sneak peeks into Phenom starting at the $5. For $10 a month, you also get stories as I make them available.
Thank you for supporting my work!
